The Department of Education have issued a roll number for the new Educate Together
Second Level School for the Dublin South City area.
This is an exciting development for all those who would like an Educate Together second level school in the Dublin South City area. It will be a co-educational, multi denominational and non fee paying second level school.
- The new school will open in September 2018 in a temporary location – the temporary and final locations of the school have not yet been confirmed by the Department of Education.
- The enrollment process for September 2018 1st year students will commence early in 2017 once the admissions policy has been finalised and publicized.
- Niall Wall has been assigned as the project manager from Educate Together and will be working closely with the Interim Management Board.
We have also been notified by the Department of Education that we can commence the recruitment process for the principal in Spring 2017.

Educate Together has been awarded patronage of the new second level school for the Dublin South City area, opening in 2018. This is fantastic news and a great result after all the hard work done by the Campaign Committee and the parents from the wider school community over the past years.
We will now have a co-educational, multi-denominational and non-fee paying school in the Dublin South City area. The press release from Educate Together states that the location has not been formally announced yet by the Department. We are meeting with Educate Together over the next few days to discuss the location, admission policies and enrollment and will keep you up to date with any news.
More information available here.
Thank you to everyone!

So we have got formal confirmation from the Department of Education that the site in Sandymount purchased from Rehab is intended to accommodate the second level school (to serve Dublin 2, 4, 6 and 8), due to open in 2018. We are still awaiting a decision on patronage which should be over the next two weeks. As soon as we have that announcement the campaign group will meet to discuss all the options available. Thanks for your patience!

We are very pleased to announce that our application to be patron of the new second-level school has been submitted. All applications will be reviewed and a decision will be announced in September 2016.
We go a total of 4500 Expressions of Interest which is fantastic. Thanks to everyone who filled one out and told their family and friends about it. Thanks also to all the volunteers who worked at stands and gave their time and expertise to the campaign.
We will keep you updated on any developments.
Have a great summer!
